● 5.36 acres which adjoin approximately 100 acres of Indian Hill forested green space
● in an area with a 5-acre minimum to build
9725 Cunningham Road, Indian Hill, is on the south side of Cunningham, just a little east of Kroger Farm Road.
This gazebo is on the property, about 500 feet down a trail in the woods that is accessed from the back yard of the future home. If you visit the property, walk inside the gazebo, sit in the chairs, and enjoy the woods that seem to go on forever.
We fell in love with this property in 1999 for many reasons: a flat area on which to build a house, carriage house, and pool and, even better, no-maintenance acres of ravines and trails for walks through the woods on this property and on the 100 or so acres of green space which adjoin the property. The lot connects Cunningham with Kugler Mill Road via approximately .6 miles of green space.
The house next door with the white fence out front is on 22 acres and the owner boards horses. An Indian Hill riding trail goes through his property, so any horse enthusiast could, in just a few minutes, walk from this property to his boarded horse and ride, without the bother of driving first to a stable or the expense of building a stable.
The lot is set back from Cunningham, down a long asphalt driveway with shared ownership by only three property owners, our 9725, plus 9755 and 9775 Cunningham, so there’s neighborhood but also a great deal of privacy, just far enough away from traveled roads. There’s air and space and light in the house-building area and then there’s the mystery of huge old oak, ash and hickory trees, woods, and ravines. They always provide something for children to explore and a place for adults to walk and keep in shape without getting bored.
We bought this property in 1999, thinking that our son, an orthopaedic surgeon, would return to Cincinnati after his orthopaedic residency and sports medicine fellowship. And that he would use the property to build a home. But he has settled in Nashville, our family’s home for generations. We have used the property as a private park for years, but the time has come for someone else to enjoy it.
Therefore, we are putting our building lot up for sale.
